Many children around suffer with learning disabilities, no matter how hard they try, they fail to grasp anything, they cannot read, they cannot write and school just seems to be one big frustration. All hope should not be lost for these children because as the creator of the Little red wagon kit, these children just need special attention.

Helping children to read

Darcie Taylor is the creator of the Little red wagon garden kit which is a literacy campaign to help in teaching children through visual and practical activities. Taylor did not graduate from 12th grade until she was a mother and in her 30s.

She went to school but always failed to grasp anything and she decided to drop out but she always wished to complete her education so at the age of 32 she decided to go back to school hoping she would grasp much more since she was older but to her frustration she still failed to learn much no matter what she did.

Filled with frustration, she tried to find out what was wrong and a specialist carried out tests on her which revealed why she was failing to learn and now she has completed her grade 12 and has even received a certificate in business and written a children’s book for her daughter.

Darcie Taylor is now trying to promote literacy for all children including those who may have difficulty learning in the ordinary education setting. The little red wagon is filled with exciting material for practical learning activities like gardening and reading. She would like to share more of these Red wagons with more children and families, but this is no easy task.

The Little Red Wagon Garden kit needs to be funded and Taylor has taken to Kickstarter to try and get this funding. The project needs 50,000 dollars to finance the making and distribution of the wagons and promotion of literacy for children.
