Civil services is like getting the most important and reputed Govt Jobs that every individual look for. Candidates for several central and state services are selected through the Civil Services Examination. These candidates are selected by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The services provided to these candidates include Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Foreign Service (IFS).

IAS and IPS are All India Services. If you are selected for these services then it means you have achieved a big goal. Such services provide safeguards for national unity and ensure the uniformity of the administrative system throughout the country. This is done to maintain the minimum common administrative standards. Selected ones for these two services are appointed to different state cadres. They can also be moved to Central Government jobs on deputation if required.
